Definition of Revelationary

It seems to me that, for much of the time, we carry out our daily activities on autopilot.
Autopilot :a state of mind in which one acts without conscious intention or awareness of present moment sensory perception. The defining feature of being on autopilot is that your awareness of the present moment is clouded (by thinking).
We follow our daily routines according to the familiar patterns of our ingrained habits.
Ingrained
: forming a part of the essence or inner-most being : deep seated.
These ingrained habits have been formed over many generations of societal shaping and by endless repetition down through the years.
Our lives, in turn, are confined within the field of that societal shaping. So our daily habits unfold in front of us, collectively forming the very life we live.
We’re not making conscious choices that match our daily tasks with our own core values, but rather we just follow along the well worn path laid out before us.
Our attitudes and conversations, opinions and thoughts arise from within the field of that same ingrained societal shaping, which has its roots in our governing system – which is capitalism.
So we can live out our entire lives, at work and at home, without having to really engage in any true or meaningful way with the actuality of life itself.
Actuality
: the state of really existing rather than being imagined.
We go about our daily activities in a mechanical fashion, accepting what we do as being normal, and so our minds are free to wander – to think about something else -as we perform the familiar repetitive tasks day in, day out.
Normal : conforming to the standard or the common type, usual, not abnormal, regular.
These repitative habits are only seen as normal within the confines of a human-centred system, as in capitalsim. Viewed from outside the confines of a capitalist system – from the perspective of an Indigenous person governed by the law of the land, for example – many of our daily habits would be considered not at all normal – even quite insane.
Insane :a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behaviour, or social interaction. To have a seriously disordered state of mind.
Krishnamurti (K) says ‘It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.‘
What I observe, both within myself and through observing others, is that we’re perpetually thinking. We’re thinking about something else, unrelated to where we are and what we’re doing. Our minds and our bodies are not in the same place at the same time. Do you think that’s true for you too?
The relentless bombardment of nonsense from commercial advertising; the stream of catastrophic news that keeps us in a continual state of helplessness, anxiety and fear or depression.
We don’t notice what we’re doing with our thoughts, nor the effect this relentless thinking has on us, because thinking seems to take us over.
We don’t seem to realise that we ourselves are generating our own thoughts. It’s as if our thoughts are not of our making and therefor beyond our control.
We don’t notice how futile this circular thinking is – how it depletes our energy and wears us down.
It’s as if we have no choice but to think these thoughts. As if the world outside our minds is making us think in this way.
Meanwhile an unconscious anthropocentric mindset plays out through our daily habits, directing our day-to-day actions, decisions and choices. But we don’t notice we’ve absorbed this human-centred mindset and that our life has become that. We are not conscious – not aware of what is happening around us.
And because we’re thinking these anthropocentric thoughts about all the human suffering and immense troubles in the world, we don’t notice the astonishing beauty of the natural world.
The grace of that single tree standing there in silence at the edge of the noisy motorway; the nesting bird as she looks out for her mate to return with food; the serenity of that white cloud slowly passing overhead, the starlings chattering together on the wire as we pass by on the busy street below; the perpetual flow of the river being drawn towards the sea.
All the wild and wonderful non-human life that is visible everywhere, that we don’t notice, that is not conditioned by capitalism and that we were born to protect.
Anthropocentric
: regarding humankind as the central or most important element of existence…..
Anthropocene
– the current geological age, which is viewed as the period during which human activity has been the dominant influence on climate and the environment.
– the time during which humans have had a substantial impact on our planet. Whether or not we are in a new geological age, we are part of a complex, global system and the evidence of our impact has become clear.
If you can discover the connection between those two words – if you can see the enormous implications of it. The challenge it throws out for you to catch. It will be a revelation to you.
Do you yourself really think that human beings are the most important element of existence? Please consider this carefully before reading on. Find out where you stand.
Can you see how our daily actions, choices and activities might be impacting or influencing the climate and the environment?
If you can see deeply what it is we’re pointing to – the connection between anthropocentric attitudes and actions leading to the creation and treacherous and rapid advancement of the anthropocene – then this fact begs you to examine how you, as one human being, actually lives. It’s a mega discovery and this is revelation number one in this work.
Revelation
: a surprising and previously unknown fact that has been revealed to others.
Our definition of revelation for this work
: the surprising and previously unknown fact that has been revealed to us of how our world view has been shaped by human-centred capitalism; how that world view is played out through the day to day living of our own lives and the overwhelming devastation that is causing to nature, humanity and life on Earth.
Revelationary
– a person who undertakes to liberate their minds from this societal shaping….
– thus empowering themselves to become a living solution to the global crisis as an individual…
– in light of the revelation that the government and others in positions of power are not inclined, nor able to do so.
The Revelationary for Nature actively responds to this urgent call for action.
OK. Are You In? If so, read on. This is how it works:
The Revelation is a call to action. The action involves only you. It can become your very own project. It’s not about talking. It’s not about activities. It’s about action. There’s a big difference. Greta Thunberg would approve.
Own the work completely. Shape it to serve you to be a true revelationary – to meet life in real time.
Begin immediately the work of de-conditioning and waking up your mind.
Cultivate the mastery of living your own life and allow in the joy that accompanies each small success.
Build a true and lifelong relationship with nature to partner you with this colossal work.
Four strengths of a Revelationary:
1) Align your life with nature.
2) De-Condition Your Mind.
3) Own your life. Live your values.
4) Turn away from consumerism.
To join the Revelation you don’t need to apply to anyone, as there’s no one to apply to. Can anything so free be taken seriously? That’s entirely up to you.
You don’t need:
- A mission statement
- A feasibility study
- A strategy
- Funding Applications
- Financial outlay
- Performance Reports
- Support from the government
- Any level of Education
- A password
- Proof of identity (Deep down you already know who you are.)
The Revelation represents no risk. We don’t have to get it right and make it perfect. We don’t have to waste time researching anything – we already know the urgency of this challenge. We don’t have to wait for the perfect time to start. No one needs to write a book.
We just take action. Use the four strengths. Align yourself with nature like a warrior for peace. Each person acting on their own initiative, with zero support from anyone and with no investment in the outcome.
